Our Yellow House

Hi! I'm Michelle, forty-something mom of two and wife of one, living in the Pacific Northwest with our two cats.

This house was custom built in about 2009ish. Apparently, the owner passed away shortly after completing it. The brand new home sat vacant for years until the bank was able to put it on the market in 2015.

We were lucky enough to purchase it as a foreclosure. We made our offer in March 2015 and were given a closing date for May, but then the fun began. We were left hanging, day after day, week after week, month after month, until finally we were able to close in September.

My intent with this blog is to document my "decorating" both inside and out. The "inside" is over 2000 square feet with 4 bedrooms and a den. The "outside" is shy of a half acre with no landscaping. I'll update my projects as I get inspiration. Please sign up for email updates!
